Gerald Evans leads the supply chain group for Hanesbrands Inc. He joined Sara Lee in 1983 marketing for L’eggs hosiery, where he rose to vice president of sales. He also served as vice president of the company’s Wal-Mart sales team. Prior to being appointed to his current position in 2005, Evans also was named president and CEO of Sara Lee Sportswear in 1999, and was tapped to lead Sara Lee sportswear and underwear in 2003. He has also been responsible for the development of Sara Lee Branded Apparel’s Asia business.
