Hanesbrands has a long history of supporting the communities where our employees live and work, because our communities are the fiber of our existence.  Our corporate giving and community relations efforts focus on serving the fundamental needs of the people and programs that need us most. 

In 2001, our company commemorated its 100th anniversary with a $5 million commitment to improve women's and infants’ health through the creation of a center for women’s health in Winston-Salem, N.C.

From sending truckloads of apparel to disaster victims to helping build new homes for other families, our employees around the world are committed to making their communities a better place to live.

We encourage our employees to take an active role in not-for-profit organizations and we support a variety organizations that better the communities in our global footprint.  Some recent projects include:
-    Participating in community projects such as Habitat for Humanity
-    Repairing the homes of employees whose houses were damaged      in disasters
-    Painting schools
-    Digging wells for clean drinking water
-    Picking up trash along the roadsides near our offices and factories
-    Collecting food for the hungry
-    Giving blood
-    Assisting with programs targeted at young children and the elderly.
